Why do women dress up in tiny video game outfits? I mean, I'm not complaining or nuthin', but what's in it for them? The only people who appreciate it are male gamers (i.e. - people they wouldn't touch with a ten-foot barge pole).

I disagree. Some games are perfectly suited to a couple of hours play. If they'd spread Portal out over eight hours, it would have detracted from the experience. (And let's not forget, it was never a full-priced game, so it still offered good value for money.)
